The Giles’ Trust Brain Tumour Fund raises money to support patients by funding vital research and state-of-the-art equipment. Another way we support patients and their families is by providing special treats to give them a boost and help improve their mental well-being during an extremely tough time.

We were delighted to be able to treat three brain tumour patients to an amazing trip to St George’s Park National Football Centre last month. Following a surprise visit from Lee Carsley, interim head coach of England football team, Lee invited them to watch the first team train ahead of their UEFA Nations League game against Greece.

Jason, Adam and Mark are under the care of the Neuro-Oncology Service at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham and are all at varying stages of their treatments. They are all huge football fans, and they had an amazing day at the centre, meeting some of their football heroes Harry Kane, Ashley Cole and Jude Bellingham and were able to make some priceless memories with their families.

Jason’s wife Natasha said, “Thank you for making this happen in what has been an extremely difficult year for us as a family. It's been an amazing experience and it's all about making those memories.”

We are so privileged to be able to help patients like Jason, Adam and Mark, but we couldn’t do it without your support.
