The Giles’ Trust Brain Tumour Fund is extremely proud to work closely with the wonderful team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, to provide our patients with special moments to help support them and their families during difficult times.

We were delighted to welcome Lee Carsley, head coach of England U21s and interim manager of the England foot team, to surprise some of our brain tumour patients. Lee spent time talking all things football with our patients and their families, as well as speaking with the QE team to understand the important work they do.

We are extremely grateful to Lee for taking the time to come and visit. It made a huge difference to our patients and their families, providing a distraction from treatment and hospital visits.
Will Garratt, Lead Neuro Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist at QE said, “All of our patients go through such a tough time and it’s been great working with the charity to make these special moments happen. It really gives them a much-needed boost and creates wonderful memories for them and their families. I can't thank Lee enough for taking the time to visit our patients, it means so much.”
